Modalities

Individual Therapy

Many of us spend a lot of time in our heads. It is possible to attain a certain degree of self-awareness through personal reflection. However, deep awareness of ourselves requires that we engage in this reflective process with another person. Individual psychotherapy provides just such an opportunity.

Play Therapy

Young children use play as a primary means of processing and communicating powerful emotional material. Play therapy allows children to work through distressing events as well as normal developmental challenges, guided by the therapist who is attuned to communication through play.

Family Therapy

At times, it is more desirable to work on existing relationships directly, with the relevant parties in the same room. Conjoint therapy sessions allow family members to have difficult conversations with the aid of a skilled facilitator, and/or to engage in exploring relational dynamics that can be hard to see from the inside.

Couples' Therapy

Like family therapy, couples' work is focused on in vivo relationships, with a particular emphasis on the romantic connection between partners. The process can involve repairing a damaged or neglected connection, as well as discovering the possibility of deeper love with your partner.

Group Therapy

An integral part of our development and thriving as human beings is our capacity to form relationships with others. Group therapy is an opportunity to form rich, meaningful connections, sometimes lasting years, with other people who are committed to working on themselves. Groups are also a lot of fun.

Consultation

The world of therapy can be hard to navigate, and finding the right fit with a therapist is essential if the process is to be fruitful. Therapeutic consultation can help you clarify what work needs to be done, and point you in the right direction.
